Experience:

Howard Pearlman is a principal in the firm where he represents clients in civil litigation, with an emphasis on real estate, environmental and insurance matters.

Mr. Pearlman has litigated, arbitrated and mediated a wide range of disputes arising out of purchase and sale transactions, commercial leases, construction contracts, and various fiduciary relationships. He routinely represents clients in matters involving non-disclosure/fraud claims, construction defects, adjoining landowner disputes, and the governance of community associations and other nonprofit corporations. Mr. Pearlman brings practical insight to such legal matters from years of experience as a licensed California real estate broker and non-profit corporate director.

Mr. Pearlman represents clients in environmental litigation primarily involving CERCLA liability, petroleum contamination, and toxic tort claims. He routinely counsels clients on environmental aspects of real property transactions.

In his insurance practice, Mr. Pearlman has represented the California Department of Insurance in rate-regulatory administrative hearings and litigation, and counsels insureds on a wide range of insurance coverage matters.
