Experience:

Darryl Hart has over thirty-five years of experience in the practice of franchise law, including over eight years as General Counsel, and in various top-level executive positions with Swensen's Ice Cream Company as they grew internationally to over 300 stores. He was one of the first five lawyers in California to be certified as a legal specialist in Franchise and Distribution Law by the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization.

His vast expertise allows him to guide his clients through every phase of the franchising process, alerting them to the unique issues and challenges involved in franchising. He has served as an expert witness on franchising issues in litigation and arbitration matters.

Darryl has regularly shared his expertise as a guest lecturer at various educational and government institutions, including the Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of California at Berkeley, the College of Business at San Francisco State University, the College of Marin, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Small Business Administration. He frequently writes on franchising issues for legal publications.
